LIMA Fashion Week 2013- PeruModa
Lima International Fashion Week, Jockey Club
I was delighed to be invited by PeruModa to Lima International Fashion Week from 9 April 2013.
After an excellent flight, we were picked up from the aiport and transferred to my hotel. I met an old friend who I met on a bus in Cambodia for dinner and then headed back to the hotel where I received a gift bag from Peru Moda, containing various pieces which would keep me busy over the next few days.
A plethora of fashion shows to attend.

PeruModa, Jockey Club
Day 1
Arriving at PeruModa, located at the Jockey Club. It was hot and I was full of flu. The opening catwalk show themed around Alpaca was excellent followed by a Pisco Sour cocktail part at midday! I was catching up with manufacturers so skipped the pisco to arrange going on a tour of a factory in the afternoon with one of the organisers.
Outside the Catwalk Show
Day 2
More shows and meetings with potential new manufacturers, as well as finalising details with existing manufacturers
Day 3
Factory, yarn selection heaven
Finally, it was time to take a walk along the coast of Lima. Peaceful, scenic and pretty
View along El Malecón
Lima has always been known as the Garden City, and no district rivals Miraflores when it comes to parks. The Miraflores government has spent years improving and adding to the district's green spaces, with a special emphasis on El Malecón, a six-mile stretch of parks situated along the cliffs high above the Pacific Ocean.
As the heat kicked in, it was time to think about food, something crisp and clean with a kick. Ceviche time!
